Total Reorientation Softcover Book to be Discontinued

GandRcoverthumbnail-100Over the last few years, we’ve been offering a softcover copy of Total Reorientation for sale via my art shop through Cafepress. Unfortunately, Cafepress is discontinuing books as a product in their inventory, so if you’ve ever wanted an actual physical copy of this book, you’ll have to order it before June 16. Afterwards, only digital versions will be available – on the website, and as kindle and pdf downloads.

Thanks for all of you who have purchased one over the years – nice to know copies of it will be on some shelves and reading stacks around the world!

Everything is Conscious Inspirational Quote

Photography Prints“Everything in the Universe, throughout all its kingdoms, is conscious, endowed with a consciousness of its own kind and on its own plane of perception.” – H.P. Blavatsky

This inspirational quote from H.P. Blavatsky is a wonderful match for the NASA image of the Messier 81 Galaxy – a spiral wonder in purple, alight with sparkles. Just amazing!

(You can click on the image to see a larger zoom image at my Fine Art America Gallery.)

This gallery has 16 images in total, 14 with my own art and two from NASA, with appropriate uplifting and empowering quotes. Stay tuned for more! 🙂

ReCreating the CC Website

Over the next week we will be recreating the Conscious Creation website. We’ve been planning on doing this for a while now – putting it in an easier to update format, cleaning things up, giving it a little facelift, making it more friendly to mobile devices, etc. And with Google now (as of today, even!) penalizing websites that AREN’T mobile friendly, it seems to be a good time. 😉

So, please pardon our dust for a number of days, as we convert a lot of older, hard-coded pages into the new format. We’ll get all of the content back online as quickly as possible, and will make an announcement here, and on our FB and Twitter accounts when we’re done. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience! 🙂

Update: (Caution – this will be a tremendously exciting post addendum about web page formatting, and site organization – LOL!) We’ve successfully converted all of the old html pages into the new WordPress (php) format (just a little shy of 400 pages!), which will be easier to us to update and should be easier for people to read on smart phones, tablets, etc. The old links will no longer work, but the pages are still in the same sections as before so they should be easy to re-find. Also, the search is now site-wide – before there was a search for the site and one for the blog, and the site one had stopped working a while back. We still have a few other bits of info to add, like a full ‘About Us’ page, links, etc, but we’re getting there. So, overall, the experience here should be a lot smoother. And, looking to the future, we’ll be able to expand the site much more easily as we go! So thanks for your patience, and I hope you enjoy the new-ish CC experience here!

It’s Just A Choice

Sometimes you just have to deliberately stop thinking an old thought and choose a new thought. The thought you WANT to think. For no other reason than it’s more aligned with what you want. This seems to be especially true if it’s a long-time habit of “worry” – worrying that you’ll run out of money, worrying that you’ll get fired from your job, worrying that something will come up that you can’t handle, etc. And the ‘general’ worries are even worse!

The good news is that worries are still only thoughts, despite the power and ‘proof’ of them we’ve experienced over the years.

The more challenging news is that sometimes we don’t have any excuses or reasons for choosing to think a different thought instead.  Once you’ve dealt with any emotional attachments you might have had to the old worry though, either good or bad, it really does come down to just a choice. A or B. Not ‘if I choose to think something else I’m in denial of what’s real’ anymore. Not ‘well other people believe this new thing so it’s probably true’ either. Just you – just what you choose to put energy into. Just you, trusting yourself.

Keep releasing your emotional attachments and stepping back from your unconscious proliferation of that unwanted thought/belief. Soon, you’ll see a whole new perspective (literally – it’s like having your nose pressed up against a brick wall, stepping back, and seeing that the wall is only three feet wide in reality!) – one where that old thought doesn’t fill up so much of your vision. Then, to mix metaphors, keep pouring more water out of that old glass and into the new glass whenever you catch yourself unconsciously reaching for the old thought.

It takes diligence and intention and courage but soon that new belief/thought will start to feel as real, if not MORE real, than the old one. Trust me. Or not. That’s just another choice you get to make… just because. 😉

The Metaphysical, Conscious Creation, and Pagan Facets

I’ve been reading a bit of metaphysical detective type fiction lately, and enjoying it immensely. Not just because it’s well-written with good characters (especially if you like a good mystery!), but because the essence of the magic in it just feels right. It does play with a lot of magical archtypes and myths, but the way the magic itself WORKS, the base of it all, just seems spot on to me, (and I tend to be much more based ‘reality creation’ or metaphysical type approaches (Seth, Abraham, etc) and not as much versed on the pagan end of things.)

magicbelieveinyourselfThe more ‘systems’ of thought I learn in terms of metaphysics, in terms of how the different teachers approach the subject, the more satisfying it is to find the essence of each and how they are basically the same, if done well.  For instance, in the Conscious Creation avenue, there’s the idea that you have to focus on what you want, and then let it go, go do something else, and let the universe bring together the pieces and manifest the end result. In many pagan approaches, there is the spell-casting, and often the burning of a paper on which the spell or intent was written, thus sending it to the higher beings to make ‘real’.

The ritualistic aspects of the pagan approach have history and practicality on their side – the steps you take are very specific and offer a repeated neural pathway in which to train the self. It also mirrors the steps that consciousness has to take Although sometimes the ritual is remembered more than the reasons behind it, in which case the spell casting is not as effective. The Conscious Creation approach has the concepts of modern psychology and philosophy going for it, which certainly appeals to the left brain, and explains WHY it all supposedly works, but the lesser grounding in physicality can sometimes leave open a door for endless mental entanglement, self-doubt, and thought spinning, getting nothing accomplished, physically speaking.

I have the urge to create a system of rituals for Conscious Creation, to blend the metaphysical and pagan ideas to see what I can come up with. I’m sure many people are already doing this, have done this. Of course, there’s always room for a new system. They are like facets of a crystal – you can understand the facets, and begin to get the feel or knowing of the larger crystal, but from a standpoint in physical reality, you’ll never be able to see the entirely of the crystal all at once with our eyes (or left brain). What a tease!
